Lightsaber Workshop

The way of the Jedi, easy is it not. To master the lightsaber, many years of practice it takes. For those not attuned to the Force, a few limbs can they lose. Thankfully, at the Higgins Armory Museum, safe practice lightsabers we have developed. Come to learn the basic lightsaber guards, strikes, and parries you will. Perhaps a Force-sensitive you are? *Note: As per Galactic Code 211.587, Section B, Paragraph 9, children proven to be Force-sensitive will be taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
Cost: $10 per person. Class is open to age 14 and up, or age 10 if accompanied by a participating parent. Space is limited. No experience is needed and all equipment is supplied. Workshop participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing with long pants and athletic footgear. All participants must fill out a waiver and participants under 18 will need to have this waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Ever wondered what it would be like to wield a knightly sword, a Viking axe or a pirate’s cutlass? Explore the Higgins Armory Museum in a completely new way this summer. Choose from: Knightly Arts Academy, Defending Sherwood, A Viking Adventure, and Introduction to Piracy.
